THE ONLINE CLUB HAS BEEN SUSPENDED INDEFINITELY

The Welcome On Line Club is now launched. If you wish to take part please contact Holger for a test link to check if your devices will work.

We are using realbridge as our platform. This is different to other platforms in that you see your table opponents and partner and converse with them. It's as close as we can get to an actual club !! 

This page is for some questions and observations we have encountered during the recent trials. If you have any feedback please let us know. 

Tech Advice

♠ We strongly recommend you perfom a Monitor and Mic test before the start of the session to confirm your device is ready to play. The test is here click⇒: MONITOR TEST CLICK HERE♠  

♠Log out of all applications running in the background. Realbridge is very memory and bandwidth hungry♠ 

♠If you have technical issues please tell us BEFORE the event perhaps a few days before. We can only offer limited help once the event has started. It is best practice to do a camera test before you log in♠  


Set Up Advice 

♠If you are playing as a pair from the same house you may find it easier to play from different rooms and provide us different emails♠ 

♠Wait for the game link that is usually posted at 6.15 on the home page. Once on the game page nnter you name and just press login. Do not worry about the ID Number♠ 

♠You will enter the lobby and the tables will be visible. If you have a partner please go the higher numbers and if you don't have a partner please go to the lower numbers♠ 

♠While you are waiting - Check out the settings available to you by clicking on the wheel♠ 

♠iPad/tablet users, you might find it easier to use simplified cards. Once you have entered the game just go to the settings cog and choose simplified cards layout♠

♠Click on Cog wheel (bottom right) - there are options that you might want to change during play ♠

♠Two taps means you will not mis-click ♠

♠As the time for the next round approaches a 30 second warning will appear in the chat box say goodbye to your opponents♠

♠When you have completed the round, the leaderboard appears. Look for the travellers in the small squares at the bottom of the leaderboard♠

♠If you want to change the way you see dummy, click the settings icon to see your choices. Try the different options and choose a configuration that you like♠

♠You can review the auction and see the last trick using the buttons, bottom right♠

♠No need to use the stop card the system automatically follows on a jump bid♠

♠When claiming you not only have to press the claim but also the number of tricks you are claiming and the opposition have to accept it by clicking accept♠

♠Please do not use the pause button to analyze the board. You can either do that at the end of the round or session. The pause button is to allow you to call the director if there is an issue with the board you are playing and pauses THE CLOCK♠ 

♠To call the Director press the button once. As soon as the Director is free you will see the screen appear with an image of the Director♠ 

♠During play can you please not talk or comment as you would playing at a table all rules have to be complied with. Your partner and opposition need to concentrate♠
