Morden Ruffians Bridge Club
Morden Ruffians is a friendly duplicate bridge club, meeting on Wednesdays with a 7:15 start time. We started in 2002 as keen learners on Jean Warren's course and have developed into a thriving club with members from near and far (covering 4 counties). New members are assured of a friendly welcome and an enjoyable evening's bridge. The Morden Ruffians are affiliated to the English Bridge Union.
The Morden Ruffians play at Steeple Morden Village Hall, 29 Hay Street, Steeple Morden, Royston, SG8 0PD.

Bridge Teaching
A 2-year Bridge for Beginners course will start in October 2026.
We invite anyone keen to find out about the game of bridge and to learn how to play to join us, meet new friends, and have fun together.
Please pass on to anyone you know who might be interesting in learning the game.
We are also starting a series of tailored courses for intermediate players with a wide choice of topics on offer. See the Bridge Teaching pages for a full list.

Web Site
This is our official website. Peter Rice is the current webmaster.
Please send suggestions for new content, and have a browse through the pages. Members are able to view pages that are not public. To see the "members only" pages click on the link at top right. You will need the club password (ask the committee members) to register, then you can register using your email address and set your own password.
I would like to add some photographs to the club pages. If anyone has pictures from social events I would be happy to add them.

Bridge Etiquette
The committee would like to remind members to observe the EBU rules of Conduct and Etiquette at all times, especially the parts that say "bridge is an extremely enjoyable game", "make bridge enjoyable for yourself, partner and opponents" and "enjoy the company as well as the game". It must be fun if they say it three times!
