Congratulations to Mike Steel and Lynda Atkin, winners of the Thursday Summer Pairs that was played over 2 rounds with a top percentage of 63.31%. Tammy & Alan Schwarz were in second place with 59.14%, followed by Jutta Rydl & Jill McIlroy in third place with 57.06%
Two Glenbrook teams competed at the recent GNOT National Final in Tweed Heads. The Mountains 1 team of Terry Palmer, Andy Milne, Dennis Raymond and Ernie Neman which finished in 25th place out of 60 teams.
Tammy & Alan Schwarz from the Mountains 2 team finished in 23rd place in the Swiss Pairs event in which 94 pairs were competing. Well done and congratulations to all eight players who were up against extremely strong competition.
Congratulations to Dennis Raymond and Ernie Newman, winners of the Wednesday Autumn Pairs with a winning % of 66.20. The event was played over two rounds with Lindsay Scandrett and Gerard Balkin in second place on 61.69% and closely followed by Peter Lameks and Bob Birch in third place with 60.91%.

The Glenbrook Bridge Club was founded in 2009 as a social Club and became affiliated with the Australian Bridge Federation (ABF) in 2010. It currently has 91 home members and 46 alternate members.
Play Bridge in a friendly, relaxed environment with Glenbrook Bridge Club, which is located at St Finbar’s Catholic Church Hall, 46 Levy Street Glenbrook, on Wednesday evenings at 6.45 pm for a 7.00 pm start, Thursday afternoons at 1.15 pm for a 1.30 pm start and on the 3rd Sunday of the month at 1.15 pm for a 1.30 pm start. Players of any age and ability are most welcome and lessons are provided for beginners. Another series of lessons will commence in March / April 2018. On Sunday 19th March we held a belated St Patrick’s Day event. It was well attended with 36 members joining the festivities by wearing all sorts of GREEN as well as enjoying the GUINNESS and 3 hours of Bridge.

Congratulations to Tammy & Alan Schwarz, worthy winners of the 2017 Thursday Club Championship that was played over 3 rounds with a healthy 64.74%. Kelela Allen & Susan Capp were second with 53.29% followed by Penelope Fell & Shirley Hesketh in third place with 50.69%.
The 2017 Wednesday Club Championship was closely fought over the three rounds and eventually finished in a tied result. Congratulations to the joint winning pairs of Dick Deveridge & Peter Lameks and Kerry Bartlett & Bill Heymans.
Congratulations to the joint winners of the 2018 Wednesday Summer Pairs. It was a dead heat by Ernie Newman & Dennis Raymond and Mike Smith & Robyn Smith with both pairs finishing on 60.29% after two rounds. Kerry Bartlett and Bill Heymans followed in third place with 50.26%.
