About our Website

This site aims to provide both members and visitors with all the key information on what's happening and what's planned within the club.

There is bridge played at the Ascot club every Monday afternoon and Tuesday evening - except on bank holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year. Whilst the Monday afternoon section of the club plays exclusively duplicate pairs bridge, the Tuesday evening section includes teams of four evenings several times every year.

The county representative is elected at the countyAGM in July.   The current representative for BBCBA, Tom Garrett, is standing down, so we are looking for someone to fill the position.

The post involves meeting the representatives ofthe other six counties in the South-East Region twice a year (normally March andSeptember and in the afternoon) in London.   The overriding objective is to help develop affiliated clubs in the county.

Apart from attending these meetings, the rep.should send occasional e-mails to the clubs seeking comment and feedback on various matters from club players as well as passing on any news from theEBU.

If any member is interested please let David Calcutt know.   Travelling expenses will be paid by the county.  Click on this news items for more information on the EBU website.
