Older members will be saddened to learn that one of the great characters of the club, Grafton Edwards, has died earlier this month at the age of 80. (In more recent years he played most of his bridge at the Lavender Bridge Club.)

Our sympathies go to his family and friends.
Update: Grafton’s funeral will be held on Monday 9 March at 3.00pm at St Paul’s Church, Knightsbridge, 32a Wilton Place, Belgravia, London, SW1X 8SH. Sandwiches and drinks afterwards in the church.
