We are very sad to report the death, in August at the age of 66, of Steve Barnfield. Older members will remember him as a regular player at the club, before he moved with his family from London to Tunbridge Wells. As well as holding a full‑time job outside of bridge, he was a successful and respected EBU tournament director.
His friend Richard Fleet has written an obituary which appears on the EBU website.
Our sympathies go to his family and friends.
