Cue‑Bidding for Slams Seminar rescheduled to Thursday 9 May approximately 2.00–5.00pm.

The Young Chelsea’s 12‑hour cross‑IMPed Half Marathon returns on Saturday 27 July, starting at 10.30am and finishing around 10.30pm.

Each “pair” in the event may consist of either two or three players.

Winning “pair” guaranteed £500 prize money (increased as entries allow).

Counting Seminar Thursday 10 October approximately 2.00–5.00pm.

If you can learn to count hands in bridge, it will make a huge difference to your play both as declarer and in defence. You need to count points, but counting cards is even more important. This seminar aims to help you to do both more easily.

How Good is my Hand? Seminar Thursday 14 November approximately 2.00–5.00pm.

Your hand can get better or worse, depending on how the auction progresses. This seminar will help you to judge just how good your hand is in the context of the bidding, and how to communicate this effectively with your partner.

Young Chelsea Knockout Teams with matches throughout 2025.

This is a “double elimination” event, meaning a team remains in the competition until it has lost twice.

There is no entry fee for the competition as a whole, but for each match table money is charged at the standard rate.

Teams consist of four to six players, all of whom must be paid‑up YC members.

The event is played as a face‑to‑face competition with matches held at the club.

Should the club exceptionally allow you to play a match online, the charge per match will be the same as if played face to face.

Prize money will be £800 for the winning team, £300 for the runners‑up.
