| Time to Enter the Young Chelsea Knockout 2027 |
The YC Knockout 2026 is winding towards a conclusion. Entries for the 2027 event are open and you may register your team now. Please do so before Monday 14 December. A draw will be made before the end of the year, more promptly than in recent seasons, with the objective of getting the event started in January 2027. The top half of the field is seeded, while the remaining positions are allocated randomly.
This is a double‑elimination tournament in which you play 24‑deal matches throughout the year face‑to‑face at the club. You stay in the event until you have lost two matches (or you are defeated in the final). Each team may have between four and eight players, each of whom needs to be a club member before they play a match. The maximum team size has been increased since the 2026 season in the hope teams will more easily be able to arrange matches. No more than six players (not necessarily the same six) may take part in any one match or (if the team qualifies for invitation as the London representative) the whole of the LMBA Lederer competition. The event will initially be limited to 16 teams (the same number that took part in 2026), but may expand given adequate extra demand.
There is no entry fee; players pay the standard table money (or a little more to include half‑time refreshments) for each match.
