 YCKO 2027 |
Young Chelsea Knockout Teams with matches throughout 2027.
This is a “double elimination” event, meaning a team remains in the competition until it has lost twice.
There is no entry fee for the competition as a whole, but for each match table money is charged at the standard rate.
Teams consist of four to eight players, each of whom must be a paid‑up YC member before playing a match.
No more than six players (not necessarily the same six) may take part in any one match or (if the team qualifies for invitation as the London representative) the whole of the LMBA Lederer competition.
The event is played as a face‑to‑face competition with matches held at the club.
Should the club exceptionally allow you to play a match online, the charge per match will be the same as if played, without refreshments, face to face.
Prize money will be £800 for the winning team, £300 for the runners‑up.

Duplicate Bridge Ethics and Etiquette Seminar on Friday 13 November approximately 2.00–5.00pm.
When you learn bridge, the teaching concentrates on the bridge, rather than the niceties of how to behave at the bridge table. But once you play in a serious duplicate game, there are many pitfalls waiting for the unwary newcomer. This seminar will aim to identify and explain what is expected of players in such games.

| YC Women’s Teams 2026 |

Women’s Teams for the Susanna Gross Cup over the weekend 28 & 29 November (on Swiss lines given sufficient entries, otherwise multiple teams) playing around 60 deals of qualifier on Saturday and up to 48 of final or consolation on Sunday.
Starting at 11.00am on Saturday and finishing around 4.30pm on Sunday.
Entry fee of £320 per team (but FREE for all-junior teams) includes a buffet lunch on both days and drinks after play on Sunday.
Alternatively, play only on Sunday for lower than half price—£120 per team.
Good cash prizes for top three teams and top junior team.

Counting is so important at bridge. This seminar will tackle the basics of how to go about counting—your points, your winners and losers, trumps and the cards in each suit as they are played—building a foundation on which to be able to start counting your opponents’ hands.
