General Information
Course Fees
Courses cost £160 per person for an 8‑week course. This includes:
- expert tuition throughout the series of eight lessons provided by expert bridge teachers and players
- comprehensive student notes and other course material
- free tea and coffee during class sessions
- membership of the Young Chelsea Bridge Club and of the English Bridge Union, the national governing body for bridge
- plenty of opportunity to ask questions of the tutor outside the formal lesson time, enabling you to catch up on any sessions you might find difficult or be obliged to miss.
Course Times
- Morning courses normally run from 10.00am to 12 noon
- Afternoon courses normally run from 2.00pm to 4.00pm
- Evening courses normally run from 7.30pm to 9.30pm
These times may, if necessary and subject to demand, be adjusted to suit the needs of individual groups of learners.
Course Schedules
Two courses are currently running—a Basic Bridge Beginners and a Basic Bridge Improvers course. Further courses are planned—please contact the club manager on 07713 322420 or email manager@ycbc.co.uk for the latest details of dates and times.

Play Sessions
- In‑club supervised play sessions are held every Thursday evening, starting at 7.00pm and finishing by 10.00pm. Sessions cost £10 for club members, £14 for visitors.
- Online supervised play sessions are held every Wednesday afternoon, starting at 2.00pm and finishing at 4.00pm. Sessions cost £5 a head.
- Goldhawks Duplicates are held every Tuesday during the daytime. Sessions start at 11.00am and finish at 3.00pm, with a break for lunch. The café/bar in the club serves a short menu of affordable fresh food, including sandwiches, toasties and omelettes. Sessions cost £8 for club members, £12 for visitors.
- Young Chelsea club duplicates are held:
- Every Monday evening at 7.15pm. Table money is £10 for club members, £14 for visitors, which includes either a complimentary sandwich or a drink from the bar.
- Every Friday evening at 7.30pm. Table money is £10 for club members, £14 for visitors.
