We play on Tuesday 10-30am Bridge, in Social room,  finishing at around 12-30pm. We now tend to use the AV chat in BCL Social whilst playing, and use a Social table for AV chat after the session.

Chat table is generally called "WBC Chat", with usual password.

Most weeks we have three/four/five tables.

We now have an informal "results" page - just for fun! Updated here weekly.

1) Format: We will aim to start at 10-30am, in BCL SOCIAL room; login from 10-20am, and start/join private tables as instructed by Mike, password will be tuesoc

2) FRIENDS!: Try to add all your Tuesday Social club-mates to your Friends list. There are tips on how to do this in the Help docs. My suggestion is that your Club-mates should go into Group B, because this show up a nice bright orange.  You can add Tues Soc people when at the table with them: Click "Add to Friends" on their profile.  IT WILL HELP the movement a lot if you are all "friends" - easy to find tables etc

3) Procedure:

a) Arrive in room, and I will set up tables with people you know.  Keep refreshing the table view, and try to avoid having ten pairs at 10 (half)-tables. (At beginning, you can leave your table and join another!; once we are started, make sure NS stays NS!)

b) Once we have (say) four or five tables in play, start playing Bridge - no need to wait! Be extra-welcoming to any of the newcomers (inc my 2019 beginners!) They don't mind being doubled and going for 1400 - they know it's part of the learning process! If they ask what they should have done, you can say "Maybe bid 4H not 2H..." etc, but don't coach!! Keep it brief!

c) I will watch how we are doing; and will send messages to tables re  "movement": eg at 11-10am, finish your board, and EW pairs will just move to tables, according to my messages. If outsiders sit down, just say: "sorry opps, we're waiting for our friends!"

d) I suggest we do 3 x 40 min rounds: NO pressure to play 2/3/4 boards etc - we're not scoring the World Championships!!

e) At 12-30pm, you can carry on or stop, and say "That'll do for me..." Once the second move (11-50am) has been done, I'll leave you to it.
