2006 saw the arrivals of more "young blood", in the form of a quartet from RGS Worcester (Peter Ford, David Williams, Tom Marriott and Alex Huband). They started in Try-Duplicate in March, and soon grew impatient and moved into the Main Room, unfazed by all those experts! Marriott and Williams scored a first WIN in April 2007. Peter and David went on to play for England in the Channel Trophy, and won the Portland Bowl at Cambridge University. Inevitably they moved away from Worcs, but Peter was able to re-connect to the Club during the pandemic, playing lots of online sessions, and even playing for the County.
Another new face in 2006 was Robert Chilimonczyk, also to become a County player, playing his first session with Geoffrey Herbert in August.
