We played a Mitchell movement on 8 tables. The hands were well distributed between N/S and E/W, and notably 15 of the 24 hands were exclusively the preserve of one or the other side. However, E/W had 7 such hands which were all advantageous to their scores, whereas N/S had 8 hands but only 4 were beneficial. This exemplifies the nature of many hands, where unexpected distributions led to disappointing results. On the positive side, four hands were bid to slams, which could have been bid on three others making a total of twelve possible slams. I hope everyone found some pleasure in the contest, albeit, frustration was evident in some cases. 

We look forward to meeting again on Friday 9th October. Play starts at 1 pm. Please arrive early to set up the tables.

Please, also, let us know if you are delayed in travelling to the venue, or if you have to cancel at a late moment. It helps us to decide on the number of tables and still start on time.
