On Friday, May 1st, we played a Mitchell movement on Nine tables.  How encouraging to welcome so many, including two new players.

Highly varied hands today, with a wide selection of distributions which resulted in many challenging contracts. Three hands were bid to successful slams though 3 more were worth 12+ tricks. But the remainder were tricky, only seven hands resulted in game contracts, whereas five other hands should have made games but were defeated by the distributions.

I owe everyone an apology. Boards 19-21 and 22-24 were set out on the wrong tables (8 and 7 respectively). This had no influence on the results, but you should note that the cards you played as 19-21 are shown in the results as 21-24 and vice versa. (Note to self: must do better!)
