Learn and Play Day June 28th 2025 |

This event drew an impressive turnout, showcasing the community's enthusiasm and camaraderie. Thirty players joined in, representing Wodonga and Albury Bridge clubs, along with visitors from Yarrawonga, Benalla, West Wyalong, and Kiama. It was a delightful mix of skill sharing, friendly competition, and new connections formed through the love of the game.
The lesson conducted by Kerry Delcourt was highly informative, instructional, and motivating. The afternoon bridge session was competitive but played in a positive atmosphere, with beginner players receiving support from more experienced participants. The food served was both abundant and delicious. I would like to commend the wonderful team at WBC for their hard work in organizing an excellent event.
To add to the fun of the day, we had our usual lucky door prizes as well as a special trophy, sponsored by Di’s family, was awarded by Don Coysh for a unique achievement—the first player to win the last trick of a board with the 2 of clubs. The marvellous trophy found its deserving recipient in Martin Akers, whose joyous smile lit up the room as he claimed this quirky and memorable prize.
