WBC AGM Report

2026 AGM for Wodonga Bridge Club

The Wodonga Bridge Club Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held on April 14th with a very pleasing number of members attending this vital part of our club's administration.

The formalities were quickly dealt with including the presentation of the minutes of the presentation of the 2025 AGM minutes, the President’s Report (click here ) and the Treasurer’s Report (click here).

The Election of Office Bearers was run by Don Coysh and the results were as follows:

President: Mary Prowse

Vice President: Martin Akers

Secretary: Wendy Stanford

Treasurer: Jane Rooney

Committee Members: Nicola Burr, Christine Luckman, Jim Bates and Alan Blackman

General business saw the Proposal for Life Member Category added to constitution

Those attending the AGM then enjoyed a dinner of Chicken & salads, tea/coffee etc.
Following the AGM and refreshments, a bridge session was organized for members to enjoy.

Play & Learn Day

Saturday 30th May Play and Pizza Afternoon

Nothing stops the Wodonga bridge players.

Despite the fog and the inclement weather, there were three and a half tables for the Wodonga Bridge Club's Pizza and Play on Saturday May 30th. A lovely afternoon was had by all; afternoon tea enjoyed and at the end of the day our pizzas, garlic bread and spicy chicken wings arrived. Nicola made a rice and preserved fruit dessert that all our players could eat.

The results were as follows:

Interestingly there were two pairs who tied for equal fifth place. Our next Bridge and Pizza afternoon will be held on a Sunday as the Wodonga Senior Citizens Hall will be available for the first time at this time. That should enable more players to come along. Watch our website for that future event.
