The Murray League is a friendly teams of four competition for players in Cumbria, open to all bridge players in the county whether or not they are members of bridge clubs. Players are handicapped according to their NGS or are assessed based on experience and status so less experienced players compete on equal terms with more experienced players. Matches may be played at home or alongside existing club nights at Kendal and Windermere by arrangement at your local club.

Bridge players, and potential bridge players, are given many opportunities to learn and improve. The Monday bridge group is a friendly improvers session with a non playing Director available to 'stand in' if necessary. A short reminder is given at the start of the session and usually 18 boards are played. Tuesday night at Kendal is learners and improvers night with beginner and improver groups held in the Abbot Hall. Wednesday night at Windermere is for 'club' players to further develop and practise their skills. Friday night at Windermere is a popular competitive evening that offers an excellent opportunity for members to move their bridge on to the next stage in a friendly environment.
Reduce Wednesday and Friday table money for members to £2.00
Reduce Monday table money for members to £2.50
