You are booking to play in the National Handicap Pairs Championship, at the clubhouse, on Sunday 7th September 2025.  Your director is Shirley Pritchard.  Start time is 12 noon.  Please be seated by 11:50 so we can start on time.   Entry fee £8.00 per person for both members and visitors.  The competition will be played as a single extended session, about 30 boards, scored by match-points (the normal pairs scoring method) across all participating venues in the country.  There will be a 20 minute break about half way through.  Food will be available to order for the break.

Uniquely among national EBU events, the results are based on scores handicapped by NGS grade, so anyone has the opportunity to do well on the day, regardless of their experience level. See the EBU information by clicking HERE.  Handicaps will be based on the average NGS of the two players in each pair, so all players will need to have their NGS visible.   If you have hidden your NGS, please unhide it at least a few days before the event.  To do well you simply have to play better than expected based on your NGS - anyone can win this event just by having a sufficiently good day!  

Members' accounts will be charged with the entry fee.  Visitors and guests please pay on the day by debit or credit card. (no Amex or cash).
