I’m delighted to attach a link to the latest edition of the Irish Bridge Journal (Summer 2026). 

This edition contains a variety of material that we hope you will find of interest, including:

• A very engaging summary of her (and her distinguished family's) life in bridge by Rebecca O'Keeffe.
• An informative analysis by world champion Boye Brogeland of the psychological aspects of bridge, a topic that is of relevance at all levels, as evidenced by its appearance in new contributor Maura King's review of a hand from last year's IBU Intermediate Teams Championship.
• A reference in Nicola O'Dowd's article to the importance, for clubs, regions, and the CBAI, of making information readily available to people who are looking for it. I suspect we could all do better on that score. If there are issues with the CBAI's website, or our correspondence, that frustrate you, please let me know and we'll do our best to fix them.
• Brief comments on two huge, and hot-off-the-press, achievements by Irish bridge players - Tom Hanlon's induction into the EBL Hall of Fame and Paul Porteous's receipt of a Gold Medal from the EBL for his extraordinary contribution to European bridge. Many congratulations to both Tom and Paul on two very well-deserved awards.
