About the Club |
Wilmslow Guild Bridge Club was originally formed for people who had attended Bridge lessons at the Guild and wanted to start playing Duplicate bridge. However, the Club quickly started attracting players from other Bridge backgrounds.
The Club aims to provide relaxed and friendly, but competitive, Duplicate Bridge of a reasonable club standard. Typical attendance is 12 tables each week, and we play an average of 24 boards per session. The Club is keen to maintain a good standard of play and etiquette, but equally welcomes and introduces inexperienced players to the Duplicate game. It is not affiliated to the E.B.U. and does not give Master points.
Play is at The Hall at Marthall, Sandlebridge Lane, Marthall, Knutsford, WA16 7SB every Wednesday afternoon. Play starts at 13.10 pm and finishes around 16.30 pm. Members are requested to arrive approx. 15 minutes before play starts. A pre-session partnering service is offered - please contact the Chairman or Treasurer. More details are given on the Information Page.
Please contact Philip Forshaw, Chairman on 01625 582971 or Alan Langston, Treasurer 01565 873316 for any further information.
