Whiteway Online Bridge Club was set up in May of 2020 as a response to the Covid restrictions which meant that face to face bridge would not be possible in the short to medium term. The aim is to provide friendly duplicate games on BBO for players who previously played at Rottingdean, Shoreham, Patcham and other local bridge clubs.  The club also welcomes any other local players (and their friends) who did not previously play at those clubs.

Whiteway is a "not for profit" club. Our expenses are very low so almost all the income we receive from BBO via the EBU is donated to charity.

Whiteway Online Bridge Club has an association with Patcham Bridge Club and that allows the games played here to be eligible for EBU masterpoints.

Now face to face bridge is possible again Whiteway Online Bridge Club online games are currently suspended.

Regular Whiteway Games 2021 - Suspended

Now Face to Face bridge has resumed there is less support for the Whiteway online game. Therefore Whiteway games are currently suspended as of Thursday 2nd September.

We will review the situation later in the year to see if there is a demand for an evening online game in the darker months.
