Welcome to Whickham Bridge Club
Web Site
Web Site

Welcome to the Whickham Bridge Club web site.

The Club meets for duplicate bridge every Tuesday evening at Sunniside Social Club, with play commencing at 6.45pm and finishing at around 9.30pm. Generally there are about 5 tables and 18-22 boards are played depending on the number of tables.

The Club is not affiliated to the EBU, and therefore does not award Master Points. Our aim is to play in a friendly manner, whilst remaining competitive and observing EBU rules. We aim to have Tuesday night results available on the website by noon on Wednesday each week.

Ryton and Whickham bridge clubs joint meetings

In a bid to increase attendance numbers, once every 4 weeks, on a 3 month trial basis, Whickham bridge club will invite Ryton members to Sunniside Social club at one of their their Tuesday sessions.

Ryton will invite members from Whickham bridge club to one of their Thursday sessions.

All members are encouraged to attend both sessions if they are able to.

The first four sessions have taken place and were very successful with increased table numbers at both venues.

The next sessions in the trial will be as follows

Tuesday 22nd October 2024 at Sunniside commencing 6.45pm

Thursday 24th October 2024 at Ryton commencing 7.15pm.
