WWBA Club League

For the next season we have six West Wales clubs taking part.  Since only five matches in ten months is rather few, we are planning for each pair of clubs to play twice, and a schedule has been made up that will run from 1st September to a final deadline of 4th July 2027, with an extra gap to account for the Christmas season.  Please read the new set of instructions which also takes account of feedback from captains and various other members, for which we are grateful.

Hotel change for the Porthcawl Congress

We have had some contractual problems with the Seabank Hotel. Fortunately we have found an excellent venue close by and we are guaranteeing the same fantastic value in our new venue.

Our new Venue is the Heronston Hotel and Spa

This is less than 8 miles from the Seabank, 4 miles from the M4. CF35 5AW

The whole Congress is being transferred, the Seabank is no longer involved

All those who have already booked to play and/or stay will be transferred at the same price, they don't need to do anything.

All new accommodation bookings must be made through the WWBA website to benefit from the very generous 2 night package with all prices unchanged . 

We all look forward to a great weekend Bridge 13th to 15th November

Winners;  Sue & Gwyn 

Congratulations to Sue Ingham & Gwyn Davis, winners of this years Swiss Pairs.  Sue & Gwyn took an early lead, with Steve Webb & Helen Houston hot on their heels, but despite a valiant effort Steve & Helen had to settle for a close second,

Twenty pairs, including a couple of pairs new to WWBA  events, had an enjoyable day's bridge at Bancyfelin, ably directed, as ever, by Dave Nicklin

2026 Tea Party & Relaxed Bridge

 Another excellent day with a roomful of lovely people comprised of contingents from Swansea Llanelli Carmarthen Tenby Merlin and Haverfordwest!  Julie and Ian won but the stars of the show were of course Lee and Rachel again.
