| 2025 Vince Bevan Pairs |
This year's Vince Bevan was a very close competition, with less than 5% separating he first 6 pairs! The eventual winners were Martin Podmore & Geoff White (pictured above), with Simon Lee & Jacqueline Archer hot on their heels in second place. In joint 3rd were Steve Jarvis & Mike Baker and Barry Thorne & Matt Greener followed by Tony Haworth & Dave Nicklin 5th, Gareth Jones & Lee Collier 6th. It was great to see seven tables in play, the most for this event since the good old pre-Covid days, including some new faces and some we haven't seen at area events for a while.

| 2025 WWBA Swiss Pairs |
For the third successive year, our GP Swiss Pairs event was won by Kevin Maddox and Tony Haworth (pictured above). They started well with two 20-0 wins and held on to the top spot for the rest of the day. The next 3 places went to Gwyn Davis & Sue Ingham, Tony Disley & Mia Deschepper, Steve Webb & Helen Houston. Although numbers were slightly down on last year, 20 pairs enjoyed a great competition, ably directed by Dave Nicklin. Thank you Dave and well done everyone.

 This afternoon at Bancyfelin, forty-six people sat down to a thoroughly enjoyable game of bridge in a friendly relaxed atmosphere, with a break for afternoon tea. For once even Dave, our hard working ATO, found time to join in. The afternoon was the brainchild of our very own catering expert Lee Collier who, with the help of her lovely daughter Rachel, served us all with a sumptuous afternoon tea. Our humble Bridge tables were covered with posh table cloths and set with vintage China to enhance the whole experience!
