More than 30 of us enjoyed our annual BBQ yesterday in a beautiful garden, courtesy of Gordon and Margaret Bell. The food choices were superb and the weather was dry. I think we all had a lovely sociable afternoon. Thanks due to our hosts and to the marquee erectors, no mean feat due to the tiny instructions.

The Club’s annual barbeque was held on 16^th July, in Angela & Peter’s lovely garden in Offham. We were lucky with the weather, as the sun shone, and the rain stayed away. About 27 members and other halves were present and really enjoyed the event. Everyone brought delicious food to share, as well as their own items for the bbq. The welcome glass of Pimms on arrival seemed to go own well! It was nice to spend the afternoon chatting and laughing together, and getting to know each other a little better.

We had our usual summer BBQ in Terry and Ela’s garden – a lovely afternoon with plenty of good food and company.  We will have another this year – more details later.   

I think all attendees enjoyed the Christmas dinner at the Duke of Wellington – food and service were both good and depending on members’ views maybe a return visit might be in order.  After Christmas we had our fun evening spiced up with food, drink and a quiz.  An enjoyable evening for all.
