It is NOT necessary to “book” to play regular duplicate sessions at West Malling. However, it is sometimes useful or interesting for members to see who will be playing (and with whom) and who will not be playing, and for the organisers to get a sense of how many pairs there will be. It can also be useful for someone thinking you might be a possible partner - even if your name is not listed as looking for a partner. Or for someone who wants to catch up with you for a matter not directly bridge-related.  

So, if you are comfortable with the idea, go ahead and put your names down to play or not play.

Also, you may sometimes be asked to “book” for a special bridge event or for a non-bridge event.

• Select Membership from the main menu.
• Log in using your e-mail address (or your name) and password.
• Select the Find A Partner tab.
• Find the event(s) you need.

If you are not playing,

• Check the NP box(es).
• Click Confirm to save your entries.

If you are playing,

• Check the PL box(es).
• Enter the name of your Partner for each event.
  (If you have registered a regular partner on your Account page, your partner’s name will automatically be filled in.)

Click Confirm to save your entries.
