Step 1 - Beginning Bridge

A classroom 'face-to-face' 13 week course run in Lower Parkstone, Poole

This course is designed for people who want to learn the wonderful game of Bridge from scratch, and for people who require a 'Back to Basics' refresher.

All of our courses involve lots of practice hands & lots of fun!

Opening 1NT & Responses

Opening One of a Suit & Responses  

Re-Bidding by the Opener & Responder   

Reverse Bidding  

Bidding Balanced Hands  

Progressing the Bidding

Strong Opening Bids  (2NT & 2C)

Card Playing Skills as 'Declarer'

How to Defend a Contract

Opening Leads

Bridge Etiquette

The next Bournemouth Step 1 course is scheduled for September 2023

This course is restricted to only 8 attendees - a very low Teacher / Student ratio!

Venue:  Lower Parkstone, Poole

You are most welcome to attend our regular Zoom Questions Clinics at no charge 

If you have to miss a class then you will be emailed a video recording of the whole session - you won't miss a thing!

Comprehensive notes are provided

Tea, coffee & biscuits are provided at no cost

The fee for the course will be announced nearer the time

There is no obligation to carry on to Step 2!
