Step 1 - Beginning Bridge

A live classroom 'face-to-face' 13 week course run at Lower Parkstone, Poole

This course is designed for people who want to learn the wonderful game of Bridge from scratch, and for people who require a 'Back to Basics' refresher.

All of our courses involve lots of practice hands & lots of fun!

Opening 1NT & Responses

Opening One of a Suit & Responses  

Re-Bidding by the Opener & Responder   

Reverse Bidding  

Bidding Balanced Hands  

Progressing the Bidding

Strong Opening Bids  (2NT & 2C)

Card Playing Skills as 'Declarer'

How to Defend a Contract

Opening Leads

Bridge Etiquette

 The next Poole Step 1 course will be starting in September 2025 

This course is restricted to only 10 attendees - a very low Teacher / Student ratio! 

Wednesday afternoons - 2.00 until 4.30 p.m.

Venue - Lower Parkstone, Poole

If you have to miss a class then you will be emailed a video recording of the whole session - you won't miss a thing!

£30 per class if paid in advance (13 classes)

There is no obligation to carry on to Step 2!

This course is also available now on an 'On Demand' basis (£15 per class). We send you the Zoom recordings and notes of previous live classes by email and you complete the course at your own pace
