Beginner's Lessons

Waverley Bridge Club's first set of lessons for 2019 have commenced.

We are pleased to announce that we have again secured the services of Andrew Mill for our next set of beginners’ classes.

Andrew has over 30 years of experience in teaching bridge and is well respected in the bridge community. Andrew is an ABF Honorary Teaching Fellow, one of only 3 in Victoria.

Course details:

  • The course consists of 12 lessons with a 2 week break over school holidays.
  • You have the choice of attending Tuesday evening or Wednesday afternoon lessons.
  • This course covers the standard beginner content and you will be provided comprehensive course notes.
  • Lessons generally run between 2 and 2 ½ hours

When:    Tuesday:         20th August 2019 – 17th September 2019
                                    8th October 2019 – 19th November 2019
                                    7:30 pm start.

Or:         Wednesday :    21st August 2019 – 18th September 2019
                                     9th October 2019 – 20th November 2019
                                     2:00 pm start.

Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start of your first lesson to finalise your enrolment so there is no delay to the start of the lesson.

The Community Centre is behind Ashwood Hall at the rear of the lower car park,
and entry is via the driveway at the Eastern end of the Reserve, closest to Huntingdale Road.  There is plenty of parking.

Cost:         $190, a deposit of $100 required to reserve your place, balance payable at first lesson

Once you have completed your course the Waverley Bridge Club can provide a comprehensive program of supervised play and workshops to help you improve your game and transition to club play.
