 Good News! 

The Washington Bridge Unit, Inc. has two new certified directors, Mark Lavens (Overtricks) and Reginald Chapman (Dubridgettes).  

Reginald Chapman continues to score off the charts at our regional and national games.  In the Spring Nationals in Baltimore, he scored 1st Place in the Scholarship game, 1st place in the Mixed Pair Game, 1st Place in the Board-A-Match Game, 1st place in a Side Game, 1st Place in the C.G. Fredd KO, 3rd Place in an evening and open Pair Game, 4th Place in the Dan Scrivens Open Pair Game, and 5th Place in the AU Revoir Pairs.  He is the Number One Player in the American Bridge Association!!  He is a member of the Washington Bridge Unit!!

Additional top scorers in the Spring Nationals in Baltimore were Robert Catlett - Ruby category and  Mickey Burnim - Master category.  Players who earned 100 + points and became members of the Century Club were:  Reginald ChapmanRobert Catlett, Virginia Brockington, Deborah Crockett and Joan Mobley.  In addition, we had WBU members who were among the top ten players at each level and were declared members of the Deca Club:  Grand Life Master Level - Reginald Chapman and Clarice Reid; Gold Diamond Level - Clara Berryhill; Silver Diamond Level - Elaine Conway; Diamond Level - Deborah Crockett and Eula Thomas; Ruby Level - Robert Catlett, Virginia Brockington, and Beverly Anderson; Senior Life Master level  - Joan Mobley; Life Master Level - Patricia Cunningham, Marvin Lewis, Barbara Adderley, and Tresi Griffin; Master Level - Mickey Burnim and Beverly Gray.
