Warwickshire Online League 2020/21
Warwickshire Online League 2020/21

An opportunity for existing and new teams of 4-6 players to compete in the Warwickshire Online League.

Matches will be played online using BBO and under the WCBA Online Guidelines which will be available on the website in due course.  The focus will be on fun and fair bridge, with little regulation and complexity.

Online League Rules will apply (see in Warwickshire Online Club) and will allow for 1) 16 board matches played in one sitting (ie no change of opponents), or 2) 24 board matches in two halves with a change of opponents at half-time.  Where captains agree to this there may be a change of player(s).

The structure in terms of number of divisions and teams per division will depend on the number of entries, but regard will be given to the finishing positions of teams playing in the current season. New teams will be very welcome, with assignments at the discretion of the organiser (whose decision shall be final)

Not played online?  It has been proven over the past few months that anyone can play bridge online and have a really good time!  There are a number of Clubs, the EBU, and other local groups running sessions on BBO which provides an ideal opportunity to have a go.  If your Club is not offering any online action, then the local West Midlands Bridge Circle is an independent group offering low cost bridge with support for players in getting started online.

Entries will close on 30 August 2020.

If you would like to enter a team, or if you have any questions, please contact Derek Oddy, League Secretary.
