C O N S T I T U T I O N

1. The Club will be named The Village Bridge Club.

2. Membership will be subject to the approval of the Committee.

3. The Committee will consist of up to seven members. These to include the Chairman,

Treasurer and one other Committee Member.

4. The Committee will decide on the annual subscription and table money.

Visitor fees will be 50% more than that of a member. A guest/visitor may attend three times before applying for membership.

5. The signatories for cheque authorisation should be any two from the Chairman, Treasurer and a Committee Member.

6. Members’ contact details will be held by the Secretary.

7. Should The Village Bridge Club fold, any outstanding funds should be divided between St Luke’s Hospice and East Cheshire Hospice.

Guidelines

1. Play will commence promptly at 10.00 am on Tuesdays. Members are requested to arrive by 9.50 am.

2. A Director of Play for the day will be appointed and will be totally in charge of proceedings and will supervise play.

3. Reasonable time will be allowed to play each board during the session in accordance with the following:-

Two boards per table – 15 minutes

Three boards per table – 20 minutes

Four boards per table – 25 minutes

The Director will give a warning, ie ‘Last Hand’, when there are five minutes remaining for the round. Any boards not being played, ie bidding not completed at that time, should not be played.

4. All members are responsible for ensuring that the room and kitchen are left tidy and all equipment is stored away.

5. The Chairman and a quorum of the Committee Members are authorised by club members to discipline a member should that member’s actions prove this necessary.
