It is with considerable regret that we have to announce the suspension of all VP bridge sessions for the foreseeable future.
This decision has been taken in light of the Government's 'shielding' advice for all members of the public to "Avoid large gatherings, and gatherings in smaller public spaces such as pubs, cinemas, restaurants, theatres, bars, clubs":
It is pretty clear that bridge sessions fall in this category and we are aware that most other clubs are taking the same action.
In addition to this message, we will be phoning members who don't use email. Exeter Bridge Club members will also be contacted to pass on information about the Wednesday afternoon sessions.
For continuing Bridge play we are exploring possible ways of running sessions using Bridge Base Online. In due course there will be further messages about how to get involved in this.
We are also looking into ways in which we might be able to provide non-Bridge assistance. For example if you urgently need some shopping we could ask around for volunteers to help. Bridgewebs offers an efficient way of contacting people.
Please keep us posted over the coming weeks and months.
Keep safe everyone!

Monday and Thursday sessions are open to Members, and Wednesday evenings are open to Associate and full Members. The maximum number of tables is 12. We have a dealing machine, enabling members to review hands after club sessions, and even play them again.
We currently have some places for new full and Associate Members - please click Information and then Prospective Members menu item on the left of this page to find out more. Guests are welcome by prior arrangement with either the Chair or the Secretary whose contact details are on the Information menu, to the left of this page.
There is very limited parking at the club, but there is ample street parking close at hand.
We are part of the Victoria Park Club which was established circa 1880. Like other clubs of this vintage Victoria Park Club originally catered for croquet and lawn tennis. The former has long since been abandoned and for many years the tennis is on hard courts. The Club has had a bridge section for many decades. For more tennis information see www.vptennis.net .
