Simone Whiteman
Simone Whiteman

Simone is one very cosmopolitan woman. Born in Germany, raised in Australia but spent many years living in South Africa, Israel and the US. All those places but she still calls Australia home (oh, that’s catchy).

Not long after retirement, Simone decided to take up our wonderful game of bridge. She loves bridge for the challenge of the game and the new friends she’s made. But that’s not all! Simone has recently written a book which is currently with the publishers. Although it’s not a book about bridge, it’s one we’ll all definitely want to see! So when you next see Simone, or meet her for the first time, ask her about her book and what drew her to the topic.

Marcelle Spencer
Marcelle Spencer

Marcelle started learning bridge in the 1990's with Jim Boren. She took 6 lessons from him and was off and running. Bridge is a loved hobby of Marcelle's and she tries to play 4 times a week.

She still drives and lives independently which is something she wants to maintain for as long as possible.

When she's not playing bridge, she is spending time with her 3 children, 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
