A SlideShow Presentation from Learn Bridge NYC |
The slide show notes that match the movies below.
Pay strict attention to the special circumstances section about halfway through.
A pretty good set of notes but a couple of small quibbles: After watching the slide show. Watch the movies. There you are, a full review of Negative Doubles.
Quibble one: The negative double is not forcing, it is intended for takeout however and failure to do so should be a conscious choice. That is, you think you will get a better score converting partner's negative double to penalty by passing. As usual this takes a good holding in the opponent's suit and the right vulnerability and combined strength situations.
Quibble two: Experts do not all agree on the necessity of having the unbid major. Your life will be easier when you do, if you make a negative double without the unbid major you nedd a plan to survive the rest of the auction,
