Our next High / Low game will be on 10/24. Please signup with Bruce Dautrich by 10/21 if you want to play. The person with the highest number of master points will be paired with the person that has the lowest. Then each additional pair determined by repeating this process until everyone is paired.

The district will be holding the district NAP tournament. There are 4 flights. Flight C is non-life master's with under 750 master points. Flight B are people under 3000 master points. Flight A is for people under 6000 master points, and the Championship Flight is open. The tournament is a proctored online event. Unit 484 will be held at Mountain Meadows in Ashland. Pairs must register in advance on the district 20 web site. The tournament is conducted in 2 session the first starting at 11 AM and the second session starts at 4 PM. The NAP tournament for Flights A & C will be conducted on Saturday October 25, 2025. The NAP tournament for Flight B and the Open will be conducted on Sunday October 26, 2025. Let Kemble Yates know if you intend to participate so proctors can be arranged.

We will hold another ProAm game on 11/6 at the Sun Oaks Club House which is located at 2485 Sun Oaks Drive. Leslie Claassen will be coordinating the amateurs that will be playing in this event. She can be reached at lclaassen333@gmail.com. Kemble Yates will be coordinating the pros that will be playing, and he can be reached at kembleyates@gmail.com. The game will be limited to 4 or 5 tables, which means we need 8 or 12 amateurs and 8 or 12 pros to conduct the event. We will be paying a barometer Howell movement with 2 board rounds. We with do a postmortem after each round. With 4 tables we will do a Howell movement with a total of 7 rounds (14 boards) so every pair will play every other pair. With 5 tables we will do a Mitchell movement with a total of 5 rounds (15 boards) so every NS pair will play every other EWcpair. Bruce Dautrich will direct. We will start setting up at 12:00 and play will start at 12:30. There are 2 handicapped parking spaces on the same side of the street as the club house. Across the street is a parking lot that should provide enough parking for the event.

Bruce Dautrich will be doing classes on defensive signaling starting on October 29th for 5 classes over 7 weeks. Classes start at 9:00 at the Sun Oaks Club House and last about 1 and 1/2 hours. The cost of the class is $10 per session. Or $25 for the entire lesson series. There will be no class on 11/26 & 12/3, and the last class will be on 12/10.

Unit Championship games will be on the second Tuesday of the month except for December which will coincide with the Christmas party on December 3rd. The Club Manager (Kemble Yates)  secured sanctions for these games for the next 5 months. The specific dates are Nov 12, Dec 3, Jan 14, Feb 11, Mar 11. We intend to continue to do this but these are the only dates we have secured sanctions on.

Club Championship games have been scheduled for 2025. In general these games are scheduled on the first Tuesday or Friday of the first 2 months in the quarter. There are a few exceptions for when these dates coincide with holidays or local tournaments. The schedule for Tuesday’s games are 1/7, 2/4,4/1, 5/6, 7/1, 8/5, 10/7, 11/4. The schedule for Friday’s games are is 1/3, 2/14, 4/4, 5/2, 7/11, 8/1, 10/10, 11/7. These have been placed on the calendar
