June 2024 Corporation Meeting

BRIDGE CORPORATION BOARD MEETING JUNE 2024
David Nelmark called the meeting to order at 4:46 pm. David, Jess Chance, Ron Nielsen, Brad Albers, Jim
McGinn and Denise Dornbier were present. Jay Winter was present as a guest.
Brad reported that revenue is down as table count is down.
Jay discussed his Monday classes and is getting between 6 and 9 people for supervised play with simple
conventions . Experience of the players ranges from beginner to some with experience. He is hoping to
sanction a game if attendance improves to 15-20 people. Brad suggested we contact area churches in
search of bridge players. David continues to promote the Thursday evening game.
David suggested that each board member needs to assume a more active role as Brad is handling the
treasurer’s job and many other housekeeping duties. We need a member liaison and someone for
outreach.
The board is looking for more members. Brad motioned to add Jay Winter as a board member, David
seconded and all were in favor. Jay will take on the job of outreach.
Virtual games were also suggested but we would need a director.
Meeting adjourned at 5:40.
