1. Interest Groups Online - IGO - Regular Duplicate sessions on Friday afternoons on BridgeClubLive (BCL).

The playing sessions on BCL can be a choice of Social Bridge or Club Duplicate Bridge (or both) depending upon preference. In either case we 'hand-hold' the member at the table until they are sufficiently comfortable to join a regular weekly Social Bridge Group and/or a Friendly Duplicate session on Friday afternoons.

If you are interested in joining us and are able to play regularly, please fill-in the application form.

2. Players who are familiar with online Bridge on the RealBridge Platform.

The u3a Online Duplicate Bridge Group holds weekly RealBridge Sessions on Tuesday mornings at 10 o/c - further details here

It is recommended that you either read the RealBridge Player Quick Guide or take an 8-hand Taster Session (or both) before joining the Group.

3. Beginners Bridge

We normally run two Beginners Bridge Courses every year. The next intake will be in Autumn 2025.

The online course is based on a well-proven methodology using Nofearbridge lessons and RealBridge playing sessions. The course starts with a set of free, short, self-taught MiniBridge Lessons on the NoFearBridge website to obtain two MiniBridge certificates, demonstrating you have learnt basic principles. This normally takes 1 to 2 weeks to complete. Those completing the MiniBridge course may join 23 weeks of online study with weekly readings and exercises to complete in your own time. We support your learning through a weekly group meeting and weekly supervised practice sessions (at a fixed time) on the RealBridge playing platform.

For general information about the course, please refer to our FAQs

If you are interested in learning Bridge, please apply here.
