Q and A section

What happens if I forget to top up my account?
Your account will continue to be debited to reflect every chargeable game you play with Tudor.  If your account gets to just £10 in credit you will automatically receive a system generated email asking you to top up.  If your account becomes ‘overdrawn’ you will receive a more strongly worded automatically generated email asking you to top-up your account.

Will I still get a statement every month
We aim to send member statements out on the first Friday of every month, after the bank statement has been uploaded, but this may not always be possible.  Any member can request their “snapshot” statement from the Club website whenever they choose, but their most recent payment may not be included.

Can I pay for others?
Yes, the treasurer can to set up an arrangement for pairs, who would like to make combined payments for online and face-to-face sessions and annual membership renewals.  This is known as a parent/child arrangement, where the “parent” pays for themselves and their “child”.  If you would like this up for please email Michelle at treasurer@tudorbridge.co.uk

How will playing visitors at the club work for face to face play or online?
If playing face to face at the club, the visitor will be able to pay using the contactless terminal (SumUp).  If playing with the club online you will need to contact the club anyway to ensure their user name is pre-registered as being part of the Tudor group (just as you would need to currently).  When organising this you can arrange payment too.  It would be easiest, short term, if the introducing member pays Tudor for the guest (at the guest rate).

What happens if I don’t have enough money – can I still play?
All accounts should be kept in credit. However, should your account go into debit you will still be able to play. The system will issue an automatic reminder for you to top up your account.

How do I pay money into my club account?
You can pay in to your account in any of 3 ways:-
1) Bank Transfer -  If you use online banking, you can pay directly to your
account using the following details –
Account name: Tudor Bridge Club,
Lloyds Bank,
Sort code: 30-99-50
Account number: 32057760.
You MUST give your payments your unique reference number ie your EBU number prefixed with TB with no spaces (eg TB123456).
2) Standing Order – details as above.
You MUST give your payments your unique reference number ie your EBU number prefixed with TB with no spaces (eg TB123456)

3) When you are in the club ask to top up your account using the SumUp machine.

What system is being used and is my data secure?
We are using a system called BriAnMas which has been developed in conjunction with Richmond Bridge Club (one of the largest clubs in the country). It is now used by a growing number of clubs throughout the country. Minimal data is used by the system and all data is held in a GDPR compliant database securely on the cloud.  We have selected a payment system that will allow for playing at the club and/or online in the same way. If you are playing online with the club the payment mechanism will work in the same way and provide a seamless way of payment for you.

When I help out in lessons I get free playing sessions.  How will these be handled in future?
Your account will be manually credited with 'free playing credits' to reflect your support of the teaching teams.

How will I pay my annual membership subscription?
Your account will automatically be debited with the relevant amount in January each year.

Will the new style statements tell me how much to top up my account by?
The new style statements won't tell you how much to top up your account - the decision is entirely yours.  As you will get a reminder when your account falls below £10 you could just wait for the reminder and pay some money in then, or top up the account every month so that you start the month with enough credit to last you until the end of the month.

What is the security on this system?  EBU membership numbers are easily available to others and I don't want anyone else viewing my account
When  you request a statement you won't be able to view it online, it will be emailed to you.  So, there is no danger that others will be able to access/view your statement/account.
