A great turn out for the Jim Dewhurst Cup - Random Teams 2026 competition with exactly 14 pairs turning out.  A fabulous evening all round.  Congratulations from across the club to the winners (pictured here from left to right) Gill, Karen, Paul and Kath, being presented with the cup by Nigel.

Our thanks also go to the director Carlton, ably assisted by Barry, the scorer Nigel, Lesley who dealt and delivered the cards and Scott and Christine who volunteered to go home if there was a half table.

Tudor Plate Results (July - September 2026)

Congratulations to Kathy and Joyce (pictured), who in only their 2nd Tudor Plate competition, and both being fairly new to bridge, did extremely well to finish top with 126 points.  It was, of course, as usual, very tight, with Allison and Diane coming a close 2nd with 119 points.  The final week decided it!  Also, in contention until the last week and finished tied on 114 points were Lesley and Karen, Sue and Jane.
 

A new Quarter starts Tuesday 6th Oct with updated handicaps.  So those who have done well this last quarter, will have reduced handicaps.

Once again the committee have been asked by the membership to host another weekend away next year - and they have agreed!

If you have been to any of the previous Tudor weekends away, or know someone who has, you will understand why they are so popular.  The venue is unchanged - The Cricklade House Hotel (click here to see the hotel website).  The dates are from mid afternoon on Friday 16th April 2027 until late afternoon on Sunday 18th April.  The cost will be £387 per person, exactly the same as last year! The price includes single occupancy bedrooms, full board, prizes, drinks reception, tea and coffee during the play etc etc.  And remember, the bridge is free to all Tudor members.

You will be able to book your place on the weekend from January 2027.  More information on the finer details will be available then.
