Welcome to the longest established bridge club in Guildford.
Tudor Bridge Club was formed in 1949.
With approaching 100 members you will enjoy friendly competitive duplicate bridge in a delightful environment.
The St. John's Centre was tastefully refurbished and extended in 2002, but still maintains its original attractive exterior.
There is parking for 26 cars and additional space in the public car park across the road. There is also a map by the entrance indicating further parking areas.
Full disabled access exists with a lift and toilet for wheelchair users.
Visitors are always welcome and we have ample capacity and parking space.
We do not have a host system, but we will endeavour to find you a partner if needed.
Please ensure you are seated by 1.20 p.m. to assist the Director.

When declarer has reached a game contract bidding only one suit, unless your partner has bid a suit to indicate a lead, be wary of initially leading a singleton or from a doubleton, as that is likely to be declarer's second suit. They will win the opening trick, draw the trumps and revert to the first led suit to discard the losing cards that could have defeated them.
AND ANOTHER THING!
When you receive a soft lead to your no trump contract make sure you take full advantage. Don't offer up a prayer and just cash your winners. First establish a suit for extra winners before the opposition switch to your danger suit.
I STILL HAVE THE BRIDGE DOCTOR'S NUMBER!
As you can see the venue is lovely, and we have almost filled it.
New members are welcome to join the waiting list, and you do not need a wealth of experience.
Playing rubber? Then try Duplicate. I guarantee you will get hooked.
