KENMARE BRIDGE CONGRESS

Kenmare Bridge Congress takes place this coming week-end November 8th to 10th at the Kenmare Bay Hotel

Friday Mixed Pairs / Novice Pairs / Open Pairs  at 7.45pm

Saturday  Congress pairs 1pm and 7pm   Open Pairs 1.45 and 7.15  Novice Pairs  7.30

Tralee Community Bridge Centre is located at Clounalour Tralee adjacent to the Railway Station. The Centre has 6 Clubs operating on the premises Monday through  Thursday nights and Tuesday  and Thursday  mornings We welcome new members.  

Centre AGM

The AGM of Tralee Bridge Centre took place on Tuesday October29th at 7pm . There was a huge attendance of 82 members  ( the bigest attendance of any meeting ever held at the Centre )

The outgoing Chairperson Ansie Brosnan addressed the meeting and thanked the outgoing committee for their support during the year . She was especially thankful to the treasurer Mary Hanry and secretary Phip Kelly for their support and hard work . This was followed by the secretary's address and treasurer's report  .The treasurer informed the meeting that the Centre's finances were in a good state.

The positions of secretary and treasurer were both contested / Seeking the position of secretary was outgoing secretary Phil Kelly and Nicky Fitzgibbon .

The position of treasurer was contested between outgoing treasurer Mary Harty and Clancy Tracy 

Following a secret ballot  Phil Kelly and Mary Harty were re-elected

John O Connor and Michael Bourke who are the only surviving members of the original committee, which was formed to set up the bridge centre, were awarded honorary membership of the Centre .,

The North Munster Region  ( Limerick ,Clare , Tipperary  and North Kerry  )  will elect the President of the CBAI  the Republic's governing body in 2021

At present three candidates have expressed an interest in running for the position Gordon Lessells Clare Maureen Pattinson Limerick and our own Nicky Fitzgibbon Tralee

All candidates will be seeking support from the clubs in the Region  so Nicky will be looking for our support
