The Pandemic have changed the face of bridge, and bridge played online will be an integral part of competitive bridge forever. Crises always leads to technological innovations.

is one such innovation enabling online bridge to have much the feel of face to face bridge.

The Great North Virtual Virtual Bridge Club aims at delivering first rate competitive bridge online, and online only. Our aim is to be affiliated with EBU and to donate all the profits from our activities to the County for them to use as they see fit in their work to educate the next generation of players and in their work to promote the game. 

We are starting out with a weekly event - Match Point Pairs every Tuesday at 2pm. The price will be £2.50 per player. If we get enough interest we will, from 5.1.2021 start a four monthly competition for members. Membership will cost £15,- for one year. To win win the four monthly competition you must be a member and you must have played in 10 events. The prizes will be:

1st Prize: £100/pair

2nd Prize: £60/pair

3rd Prize: £40/pair

Until the competition starts, our events will be priced at £1.50 per player per session.
