Devon bridge Association AGM revised notice 6 June 2020
Further to the formal notice issued last month, AGM of the Devon Bridge Association will take place online via Zoom on Sunday 12 July 2020 at 11 am. Accounts to 30 April are on the DBA website. Further arrangements will be confirmed in due course.
Members are asked to update their contact email details on their MyEBU account so that we can contact them individually (the EBU maintains the County membership list).
Resolutions and nominations are still due to reach the Secretary by 14 June.

On-Line Bridge

The following information has been sent out by the EBU
"While clubs are not able to open many members are meeting up virtually to play online. There is lots of information on the
website but in short 3 of the main platforms which members are using are: Bridge Base Online (BBO), Bridge Club Live (BCL)   and Funbridge. The EBU is hosting 4 matchpointed pairs games each day on BBO at 1400, 1530, 1930 and 2100. Each game is 12 boards in duration and costs $1.50 to play in. If your club is not already meeting up online why not suggest to   members to join one of these EBU games, perhaps the one closest to your normal bridge session?"  You can link to the on-line sites through the news posts below

CORONA VIRUS.   In light of the current Coronavirus crisis and the government's advice on Monday, particularly in relation to protection of people in high-risk groups, we have decided to close the Bridge Club until further notice.  Please do check in to the web-site regularly for any further information which we will post as and when we have it.  The EBU has indicated that there may be an opportunity for on-line bridge which we will investigate further.  In the mean time take care.  18th March 2020
