Recalling Some Bridge Etiquette Tips:  

1.  when calling the Director, always say "please" when you raise your hand so that the Director can quickly identify you and help

2.  always thank your partner when the Dummy Hand is tabled

3.  be certain to kindly greet your Opponents when they arrive at your table

4.  always allow the Opponents to verify the Board Results on the Bridgemates before moving to the next hand

5.  ensure that all Alertable bids are clearly explained when asked:  it is not enough to simply state the name of a Convention

6.  each pair must have a completed Convention Card available at the side tables and your Convention Card may not be left on the table

7. you can examine the Opponents Convention Card but not your own during the play of the hand, but, of course you must wait for your turn to ask!

We completed our second post-pandemic season of Bridge and it culminated in our Closing Game and Luncheon on Thursday, June ,6th 2024.

Prizes and the Annual Award for most masterpoints won was awarded to Carolyn Koster --- Well done!

Special Mention was cited for Paolo and Giula Bizzari.

We are excited to resume in person duplicate Bridge games and to see all the players that we've missed over the summer.

We INVITE all of the players to come out again and try their skills challenging friends at the table.  We constantly learn from each other, and we enjoy the continuing camaraderie shared.

Please call and or speak with the Bridge facilitators and convenors.  Maureen Osbourne, Sheila Sylvester, Julie Wood, and Carolyn Koster are great resources to chat with about playing and learning Bridge.

We start a new Play & Learn duplicate game on Tuesday, September 10th and we'll meet every other Tuesday.

Do not hesitate to join in!  

We welcomed Donalda Club members from time to time and we enjoy their company at the Bridge tables.
