WHAT BLISS!
A very peaceful game of bridge. It's very helpful for slower players to be able to concentrate in a quiet room! They may even be able to quicken up! Finished early? - well done - chat, yes, but please WHISPER!

Thinks......'Partner has opened 2C (great!), What am I supposed to do. Is it alert or announce I ask myself. Oh bother,,,,I'll announce. But hang on, is my partners bid anything to do with clubs! Maybe I should alert! Not sure!'

| JUNE'S CLUB RESOLUTION ! |
IT'S VERY IMPORTANT TO CHECK THE SCORES ENTERED AT THE END OF EACH HAND!
Many years ago, when Easts had checked the score had been entered correctly on the traveller, they were asked to initial their acceptance on the appropriate line! Now we are using Bridgemate, the routine is very similar........East checks the contract and score, and afterwards verifies it by pressing 'OK'. We must all be very vigilant about ensuring the correct scores are entered. Once a competition has 'been put to bed' it won't be altered. Whether we are using travellers or Bridgemate, let's all try and double check it's entered correctly. It's so easy to make a mistake, especially when there's chatting going on.
It can be the difference between a 'top' and a 'bottom'!

We are all very familiar with our friend The Bridgemate now..............but sometimes we forget to use it the way we have been requested! Remind yourself of the this simple procedure by logging in to our members area and re-reading Chairperson Colin's 'hoped for' routine!
