Anyone running late for a session may contact the Club Mobile 07442 562760 to notify the TD of late arrival.   Please note, this number is unmonitored at all other times and should not be used to contact the club for any other purpose. 

We plan to run a “Social Individual” event on Saturday 15^th August starting at 1:00pm.  

Each player plays a small number of boards with one partner and then moves and plays with another partner.

The number of boards played with each partner and the number of moves will depend on the number of entrants. 

We will all play the SCBC standard system (Acol 3 weak 2s).

No Partner is necessary for this event.  Come along, play as an individual and meet your fellow members.

There will be no charge for entering.  There will be drinks provided and participants will be asked to bring something for a buffet.

Please enter your name on the 'signup' sheet', displayed on the noticeboard at the club. 

We hope to get a very good turnout for this event, and we encourage you all to come along and have a fun day.

This year the ECATS Charity SIM Pairs will be run in support of Kidney Research UK and the British Heart Foundation.

SCBC will support this event tonight Thursday Night (9th) and tomorrow, Friday Afternoon (10th) sessions.

Our local results will be uploaded and combined with other participating clubs to arrive at National Results.

After the event a commentary document for each session will be issued to provide the optimum play of each hand.

Please support one, or even both sessions if you can.

Table Money for each session is £3.00.  You may of course make any additional contribution you wish.

All money collected will be donated.

Term 1 of the next Beginners course will start on Wed 7th October and will run for ten weeks 7-10pm. Click here for the  Course Schedule . The cost for the course is £60. This course is suitable for people who have little or no previous knowledge of Bridge.  We will run three Mini Bridge sessions on Wednesday 16th, 23rd and 30th September for complete beginners.  If you would like to register, please email: suttoncbc@outlook.com

Term 1 of the new Improvers course will start on Tuesday 22nd September and will run for twelve weeks 7-10pm.  Click Here for the course schedule. The cost is £60 for members. The Pairs League runs on the 2nd Monday of Each Month.

Following the completion of the Year 1 lessons, we are running a single relaxed bridge playing session on a Tuesday evening from 30th June. 

This will be hosted throughout the summer months.  Please arrive by 6.50pm.  

All members are welcome

This session runs on Saturday mornings between 10.30am and 12.30pm. Beginner lessons from the EBU/EBED Year One course are delivered, interspersed with practice play.

Stratified Positions 2nd Quarter

There is a partner finding function on the club website.  It is very easy to use but if you have problems accessing the service then contact NigelC or email the club at suttoncbc@outlook.com. 

Step 1 -Click on 'Member Area' in blue box in the top right hand side of our Home Page.  You will be asked to enter your email address and password.  If you have forgotten it then click 'forgotten' and follow instructions.  It takes seconds!!

You can also look at the Calendar of events (right hand side of page) and under any event it will say (Partner?) if someone is looking for a partner.  Click on it and you will see who is looking and contact details.  The rest is up to you!!.  Good luck and enjoy more bridge.

The new Assisted Bridge Session has started on Monday afternoons. 

No partner is needed.  Please arrive by 1.50 pm to ensure you get a game. 

We will aim to finish the session around 4pm.

Assisted Play sessions continue to be run on Friday evenings.  Session start time is 7.00pm

However, once a month there will be an Improver/Refresher lesson that will benefit Beginners and Improvers alike.  The lesson will start at the earlier time of 6.45pm
