160 Walmley Road, Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands, B76 2QA.

| Fun Teams Event Saturday 31st October |
The Fun Teams event will be on Saturday 31st October 2026 starting at 2pm. This is a social event and we will finish with afternoon tea.
Each team consists of three Novices and an experienced player (Mentor). In each team, the novices rotate around the mentor as part of the movement such that they each play one set of boards with the mentor. The number of boards will be established once we know the number of teams.
A Novice is defined as somebody who has played for less than four years and has less than 2500 Master Points.
If you are a Novice and wish to enter, please group together into teams of three, then record your team on the list in the Clubroom.
If you are an experienced player and are willing to act as a Mentor, please add your name to the second list in the Clubroom.
Prior to the event we will match Mentors to an appropriate Novice team.
If you are an Intermediate with around 5 or 6 years experience, please group together into teams of four.
Each team will be asked to bring a cake for afternoon tea.
Please note that playing in this FUN event does NOT commit you to entering the competition in April.

| SCBC WhatsApp Community |
 The club has set up a WhatsApp Community within which are a number of WhatsApp groups to serve different club functions. There is a Group for every playing session and once a member joins the 'SCBC Community' they can then join whichever session group or groups they choose as appropriate to their circumstances. The Groups can be used to arrange partners or to discuss hands played or for just keeping in touch with other members.
Anyone wishing to join the community should click on the appropriately titled box on the left hand side of the webpage and follow the instructions.
If you haven't registered for Member Area access but want to join the WhatsApp Community then please email the club and we'll get you up and running.

| Pairs League 2027 - Expressions of Interest Sought |
The club is hoping to run a Pairs League in 2027.
The Pairs League is open to every member of the club and we hope that as many as possible will take part.
The format is yet to be decided.
Please register your interest as soon as possible entering your name and your Partner's name, either using the form below, email to the club or use the ‘Sign-up Sheet’ at the club.

| INTRODUCTION TO BRIDGE |
 Starting on Wednesday 16th September, we are offering a three-week ‘Introduction to Bridge’ course for those with no prior knowledge of the game.
Arrival time 6.50pm for a 7.00pm start.
Cost is £5.00 per session. Please contact the club if you would like to attend.
Following on from this we are also running a Beginners Bridge Course consisting of 11 lessons starting on Wednesday 7th October. Please see below for more details.

| Beginners Bridge Lessons |
 Term 1 of the next Beginners course will start on Wed 7th October and will run for eleven weeks 7-10pm. Click here for the Course Schedule . The cost for the course is £60. This course is suitable for people who have some previous knowledge of Bridge or who have attended the Introduction to Bridge Course. | Find a Partner Facility |
There is a partner finding function on the club website. It is very easy to use but if you have problems accessing the service then contact NigelC or email the club at suttoncbc@outlook.com.
Step 1 -Click on 'Member Area' in blue box in the top right hand side of our Home Page. You will be asked to enter your email address and password. If you have forgotten it then click 'forgotten' and follow instructions. It takes seconds!!

You can also look at the Calendar of events (right hand side of page) and under any event it will say (Partner?) if someone is looking for a partner. Click on it and you will see who is looking and contact details. The rest is up to you!!. Good luck and enjoy more bridge.

| Monthly Improver Lesson on Friday Evenings |
Assisted Play sessions continue to be run on Friday evenings. Session start time is 7.00pm
However, once a month there will be an Improver/Refresher lesson that will benefit Beginners and Improvers alike. The lesson will start at the earlier time of 6.45pm

The following sessions are usually hosted so that a member can turn up without a partner and ,subject to the conditions of the SCBC Hosting Policy , be sure of a game. Please arrive early if you do not have a partner.
