The latest Suffolk Online Teams League, Season 22, is underway, with 30 teams playing in six divisions.

Results will be available by clicking on WINTER.

Congratulations to the Moore, Orton, O’Reilly, Bates and Ballinger teams for winning their respective divisions in Season 21. Results are available by clicking AUTUMN.

New teams or pairs interested in playing in Season 23 should advise their interest by emailing sotl@suffolkbridge.co.uk. As usual, existing teams will be contacted when the current Season concludes.

Suffolk Championship Teams 2026 Regulations, Draw & Results

 The following regulations apply:

• Championship teams to be played as an online knock out competition.

• Cohort randomised seeding* for up to 8 teams.

• For seeding use average NGS per team.

• Teams of up to 6 players.

• Matches in the Championship Teams to be played on RealBridge or BBO. Both captains to agree, otherwise the default platform is BBO.

• Matches to be completed in one day.

•Team captains will be given full instructions on how to create the matches on either platform nearer the time. On Realbridge, screens and self alerting should be used.

• Number of boards per match: 32, 2 x 16-board stanzas, alternate opponents. If a team has three pairs, then one pair will play throughout, each of the other two pairs will play one of the two stanzas each. If a team has five players one pair will play throughout, one other player will also play throughout playing one stanza with each of the remaining players.

 • A tie at the end of a match shall be resolved by playing extra boards – see EBU White Book para 3.2.2.1**.

 • No kibitzers, barometer off.

 • Undos may be requested in the Bidding for Misclicks only. To enable undos on BBO the undo tick box must be ticked. Undos during play are not permitted and such requests are to be rejected by opponents.

• Green Points are awarded for all matches won..

 • Entry fee £12 per team.

• Entry closes January 31, draw published soon after, 4 weeks allowed per match, 3 rounds, target completion date end April.

 • All players must have primary allegiance to Suffolk.

* First and second seeds are placed in opposite halves of the draw, then the semi-final “cohort” of 3rd and 4th seeds are randomly placed in the semi-final slots, then the quarter final cohort of 5th to 8th seeds are randomly placed in the quarter final slots.

 ** In a standard knockout match played between two teams, any tie which exists at the end of the match shall be resolved by playing extra boards. Such boards shall be played in a single stanza with no seating rights – see EBU White Book para 8.5.2

*** The number of extra boards shall be one eighth of the scheduled number of boards in the match as a whole. If the teams are still tied, the procedure shall be repeated.

The winning team will be offered the opportunity to represent Suffolk in the Pachabo Cup to be held online, on RealBridge, on June 13/14. Closing date for entry to the Pachabo Cup is May 29.
