Covid-19

After due consideration of the Covid-19 situation, and noting how other local bridge clubs are now running their sessions, the following guidelines and procedures are offered for all to observe, in the interest of the safety of our members:-

·We expect and trust that all our members will have been double vaccinated, unless there is a valid medical reason for their not having done so.

·If you have been “pinged” or contacted by NHS track & trace please do not attend during your isolation period. If you are feeling unwell on the day please do not attend.

·We will be keeping a record of all attendees, to enable us to contact members in the event of a covid related incident.

·Hand sanitiser will be available on all tables and in the club generally.  Please make use of this on entering the club and at tables on every movement.

·Entrance and exit should be via the main club entrance using valid key fobs (of which more below).

·We will be opening as many windows and doors as possible, so please dress appropriately.

·Masks/face shields are to be worn on entering and leaving the club, and when moving between tables. We will respect those exempt from using a face covering.  Masks are optional when seated. However, please be mindful of other players and respect their wishes in this regard.

·Please keep a safe distance from others at all times when moving around the building.

·Please collect a bidding box when you arrive and keep that box throughout the session i.e. E/W should carry their bidding boxes with them as they move from table to table. Please return your bidding box back to the collection point yourself. There will be a committee member in charge of this on the day

·Only North should handle the travellers and pass the boards.

·Members are requested to have the correct table money available in order to reduce the handling of cash by those collecting it.  Table fees are £1 for SBC members, £1.50 for TCC members who are SBC guests and £2 for visitors. (50% of the sums collected go to TCC in accordance with our arrangement)

·Please ensure that no more than 2 people are in the toilets at any one time and please make use of the hand sanitizer when exiting.

·Unfortunately our previous catering arrangements will not be operating for the time being. The position will be reviewed in due course and it is hoped we may be able to resume these in the future. If members wish to bring their own refreshments they are free to do so, but the TCC bar will be open and ready to serve beverages and snacks.

·On conclusion of the afternoons play, members should return their own bidding boxes and tablecloths to the collection point.  Members are also requested to fold up their tables and exit the hall as quickly as possible, but the TCC facilities and bar area are available for all who wish to stay on.
