Friday Scratch
The early leaders are Alison and Conrad BUT they need to come 20 times to qualify so as Delia Smith once famously said "Lets be 'aving ya" Conrad and Alison.John and Simon are second on 58.82%.
Friday Handicap
Whilst Alison and Conrad and Barry and Trish are leading they need 20 appearances to qualify, Paul and Christine are leading the group that have already reached the qualifing number with an average of 50.45%

Most Improved Player
The list of players with a positive improvement is now available, at this stage only player who have 10 or more appearances have been listed, remember to win this competition you nedd to make 20 or more appearances.
Upside Down Cup
The teams and scores for this year are now available take a look to see who's team you are in. These scores can move dramatically through the year and for those 3rd and 4th tier players the more you attend the better your contribution to the team will be. For 1st and 2nd tier players your final 10 scores of the year are those that count.
Myrtle Cottage Cup
This years winners are Conrad and Alison who beat Brian and Judith.
Adjusted scorees were
56.86 v 46.60
Well done Conrad & Alison the trophy will have to wait until August and our presentation party (you still get to keep for a year)
Wednesday Group

Ron Ion Trophy 2025
The Semi Finals have been completed and the Final will be

Myrtle Cottage Cup
The winners this year are Jim and Shirley who beat Tony and Julie in the final match.
Rickard Premier Individual Cup
George Moody and Caro Hunt played the final on 14th March and in a close result George emerged as this years Rickard Premier Individual Cup winner.
The scores were George 55.21 and Caro 52.43. Well done to both of you.
The cup will be presented at the Presentation Party on Friday 15th August
Bruce Individual Shield
The final between Marcus and Bim was played on Frday 21st March and the result was a win for Marcus by 51.04% to 44.57%.
Well done Marcus the shield will be presented in August.
Scratch Pairs Trophy
Simon and John are this years winners scoring 58.19%, with Alaric and Dorothy coming second on 56.7%
Just to remind you of the rules. You need to play 20 sessions to be eligible to win this trophy and also to qualify for next years Rickard Trophy, top 8 pairs qualify.
Handicap Pairs Trophy
Once the pairs that didn't qualify are omitted Bim and Sam are our new handicap champions with 50.84% closly followed by Andy and Sekhar & Alaric and Dorothy joint second on 50.57%.
Just to remind you of the rules. You need to play 20 sessions to be eligible to win this trophy. You cannot win both the Scratch and Handicap.

Amanda and Paul Wilcox are the winners with 10 slams,Conrad, Andy, George and Tony all had 8.

Most Improved Player 2024/25
Top at present is Marcus Titley with a 15.52% improvement sofar, though final score will be available once the system has generated the May scores.
Competitions 2023-24 season Winners
The final competition has now been completed and the Trophies Cups and Shields were presented at our Summer Presentation Party on Friday 30th August. Plus there is a bonus competition for that event which is the Susan Aldous Memorial Shield. Details are on the website.

The Inaugural Winner of the Rickard Premier Individual 2024 is Brian Pinson.
Well done to Brian and commiserations to Caro.
Bruce Individual Shield
The Bruce Shield has been completed with the final between two newer members of the Stowmarket Bridge Club. Shirley Terry, recently moved into the area and Stowmarket Bridge School graduate Barry Philips.
Shirley's experience paying off by winning the inaugural competition. Well done Shirley.
Slammer of the Year 2023-24
Amanda Roberts has offered to sponsor the trophy for this competition and the table is now available in "Competition Corner". Alaric and Dorothy are our inaugural winners with an impressive 11 slams.
Most Improved Player 2023-24
Wow, so nearly an upset with Conrad Simons massive jump in the last month BUT.... Paul Wilcox managed to hang on a win by the smallest of margins. Tony Aldous our previous leader had a disappointing last month dropping to third.
The Upside Down Cup
Riley's Rockets, the long time leaders, cruised to victory, well done Sam Wilson, Paul Wilcox, Angela Horner and Captain Simon Riley.
Scratch Pairs
Last month I said it could be close! But not this close! A dead heat between George and Tony and Brian and Simon after their last ditch effort. So we now have Joint Winners. Well done and perhaps next year can be just as close.
Handicap Pairs
Well done to Amanda and Paul for their recent run of good scores culminating in them being crowned Handicap champions. Well done to Chris and Ron for their close second in a very competitive competition.
