LATEST NEWS 2021

IN LINE WITH OTHER LOCAL CLUBS WE HAVE DECIDED TO CANCEL F2F BRIDGE IN JANUARY.

WE WILL HOPE TO START AGAIN AS SOON AS WE CAN IN FEBRUARY, BUT THE SITUATION MAY CHANGE BEFORE THEN. PLEASE CHECK ON THE WEBSITE LATER IN THE NEW YEAR.

LET US HOPE THINGS WILL IMPROVE AND 2022 WILL BE A BETTER YEAR

LATEST NEWS 2021 DECEMBER

We are unable, for various reasons, to have our usual delicious party food on a Monday before Christmas. In consultation with Audrey , who caters, we have decided to find another date for this. We feel that a celebration in the New Year might be good. Getting rid of 2021 and hopefully greeting a better 2022 is worth doing.

WE WILL CHOOSE A DATE IN THE NEW YEAR.

1. Masks are not mandatory but wear one if you can. THERE ARE A LOT OF COLDS ABOUT NOW AS WE APPROACH AUTUMN. PLEASE WEAR A MASK IF YOU ARE LIKELY TO COUGH OR SNEEZE WHILE PLAYING

2. Hand sanitisor will be available.

3. The room will be well ventilated, wear warm clothes. Tables will be spaced out. Social distancing will be encouraged.Chairs will be wiped at the end of the session.

4. The kitchen will not be in use. Bring your own refreshments if you wish.

5. Keep the same bidding box for the whole session or bring your own if you like. All boxes and boards will be 'rested ' for a week between use.

6. No money will be handled. Bruce will discuss expenses and payment when we meet.

7. Please do not come if you are feeling unwell. Let us know if you develop any symptoms after playing so that we can let others know.WE ASSUME YOU WILL HAVE BEEN DOUBLE VACCINATED AND MAY HAVE HAD THE BOOSTER.

Welcome to Stoke Poges

Welcome to the Stoke Poges Bridge Club website.  We are located in the heart of the village. Playing in the main hall of St Andrew's Church, Rogers Lane. Turn into Rogers Lane by the Village Hall and go along to the car park for St. Andrews, which is on THE LEFT.

The club opened in January 2008 and welcomes players of all standards.  We are very friendly and have attracted players from the village and from further afield.  Playing on Monday afternoons from 1.30pm - 5pm, we complement other clubs in the South Bucks area operating on alternative weekdays.

St Andrew's has ample on site parking with bus stops close by for those using the local network.

We welcome players to come and give us a try.  We will always organise a partner for visitors so do not be afraid to turn up on your own.  Your first visit is completely free.  We stop for a short break half way through the afternoon to recharge our batteries with light refreshments.
